Contribute to support leaders of social projects in Ukraine
Published on February 7, 2023 by Diana

In 2022, we launched a crowdfunding campaign to purchase bulletproof vests and send them to civil defenders at the frontlines in Ukraine. 187 bulletproof vests successfully reached their beneficiaries, and one of those vests already saved a person's life.

In 2023, we are running a new project, to support long-term changes in Ukraine.
Our crowdfunding campaign is for SUN Leaders Program.
It is a 6-months Fellowship Program for young leaders of social projects in Ukraine.

We are working on the first cohort of 15 leaders, and fundraising for their scholarships fund and some administrative costs.
One full scholarship for one leader is €3000.
Consider donating to our crowdfunding campaign, to amplify the impact of initiatives working in Ukraine, and help them reach more beneficiaries.

Why is it needed?
  • Local Ukrainian social initiatives do not realize their full impact potential, due to insufficient funding and support.
  • Numerous relief funds target the emergency needs of Ukraine. At the same time, long-term solutions in post-war Ukraine get overlooked.
We want to bridge these gaps by supporting leaders and projects that create immediate results, but also have long-term impact for rebuilding and developing Ukraine.

Who are the leaders we support?
Young (18-30 y.o.) Ukrainians, working in Ukraine, ready to take responsibility and act.
What are the projects?
Already functioning, showing some results, scalable nationwide, in the fields of: healthcare, education, economic growth, equality, cities development, and EU integration of Ukraine.

What does the Program offer?
  • 🙌 We support leaders in growing and scaling their projects: by offering them mentoring, educational resources, network of expert and fellows.
  • 💶 We allow them to focus, remove some of their financial anxieties: by offering a monthly scholarship of €500. Leaders can spend the scholarship as they want: e.g. cover their basic living expenses, or cover project costs.

The Program has been piloted in 2019-2020, and has shown results.
Here you can read more about the Program and donate to our crowdfunding campaign.
