I recently ported the amazing STEPper add-on from Ambi to current Blender. The main addition are that I made it cross platform and compatible with the extension platform policy (I will publish it there at some point).

It still has some broken features that you may depend on. I cannot invest my free time in it currently so one way is to do it on my paid time :)
So if this collect reaches 1000€ I should be able to fix and port everything the old add-on had. If it goes beyond, any of your feature requests will be considered.
