Dear contributor,

Thank you so much for supporting our project to assist the folks who were unceremoniously relocated to hotel shelters in Woodside and Long Island City by the city of New York. As the situation has changed and those we know have moved elsewhere, we are allocating the remaining funds in this project to Mariposa, an Elmhurst-based group that works with unhoused individuals in the community. They will be spending the money as they see fit and this will include care for asylum-seekers who have recently been bused to New York without receiving any institutional support. You will still be able to check the project page to see the records of how the money is spent. If you have any questions feel free to contact us.
