About

Join the Great Lakes Taiko Center (GLTC) community for a workshop with amazing guest Taiko artist Kenny Endo who will be visiting us between performances on his 45th Anniversary Celebration Tour "Breaking Tradition Through Innovation". This 90 minute workshop will be held at The Warehouse studio in https://cen4pal.com in Wixom, MI. Taiko topics covered in this workshop will be determined in part by participants. Taiko drums for use during the workshop will be provided, or you may bring your own drum to play on. Participants will be asked to follow COVID safety guidelines in the space, including wearing masks while indoors during the workshop.

KENNY ENDO is at the vanguard of the taiko genre, continually paving new paths for this Japanese style of drumming. A performer, composer, and teacher of taiko with numerous awards and accolades, Kenny Endo is a consummate artist, blending Japanese taiko with rhythms influenced from around the world into original melodies and improvisation. ~more info at https://kennyendo.com
