It has been a very eventful few months. We got accepted into Open Collective late into 2022. We have had a great experience so far and we appreciate all the support from our financial contributors as well as from Open Collective Foundation.

Tragically very early into the new year on January, 18th a dear friend and comrade Manuel "Tortuguita" Páez Terán was murdered by police in Atlanta. Our friend Manny/Tortuguita was a long time activist in Tallahassee and very active with our local Food Not Bombs branch. Their loss has been a huge blow to us all in Tallahassee, and we have been grieving thier loss.

We have seen a huge outpouring of support from all over the world for Manny/Tortuguita and the Atlanta Forest Defenders. It has been amazing to see all the solidarity from so many comrades, but there is still so much work to do.
