About
Tavistock Locals Help www.tavistocklocalshelp.co.uk is a community group that has formed in response to the Covid 19 crisis in order to protect and assist individuals who are self isolating either because of age, underlying conditions, or suspected cases.
We are assisting with a variety of basic tasks including shopping and prescription pickup and delivery, pet care as well as signposting to commercial delivery services locally, important government information and advice, and other support organisations.
We have a volunteer base of over 100 individuals in Tavistock in 8 areas around the town. This fund has been set up to ensure that our volunteers will be reimbursed for any essential purchases they make on behalf of individuals referred for our assistance.
