About
We believe thriving communities are built by tending more than individual needs. Our work moves across five interconnected areas: Body, Kinship, Culture, Community and Power. Through reproductive justice, family and intergenerational support, cultural continuity, community care, leadership development and organizing, we strengthen the relationships, knowledge and infrastructure our communities need to determine our own futures.
Our work is ancestral, land-rooted and faith-rooted. We understand spirituality, culture and collective responsibility as inseparable from the ways Black and Indigenous communities have survived, resisted and cared for one another across generations. We create space for ceremony, remembrance, storytelling, political education and practices that reconnect people to land, lineage, community and sacred responsibility.
We are especially committed to the leadership of Black and Indigenous Women and Two-Spirit people, whose labor, wisdom and vision have long sustained movements, families and communities while too often remaining under-resourced. Our work invests directly in their ability to lead, organize, care, create and shape the decisions that affect their lives.
