About
Terrance Cuthbert is the founder of The Black Dog – Te Kuri Pango, a kaupapa grounded in lived experience, manaakitanga, and walking alongside people with compassion and respect.
Inspired by both personal journey and the understanding that wellbeing is relational, Terrance established The Black Dog to create spaces where kōrero can happen safely without whakamā, judgement, or expectation.
Te Kuri Pango symbolises companionship, loyalty, and presence. It reflects the belief that healing does not come from standing above someone, but from standing beside them.
Terrance’s leadership is guided by the values of dignity, trust, and collective care. His vision is for The Black Dog to grow as a community-led initiative that honours people’s stories, protects mana, and strengthens connection.
Talk. No Judgement.
