Our long-awaited Draig FEAST is finally happening tomorrow! We're eagerly looking forward to seeing you there!Ā

Draig FEAST Details:
šŸ“…10 February 2024, 1-4pmĀ
šŸ“Main Hall Reception, Cathays Community Centre, 36-38 Cathays Terrace, Cardiff CF24 4HX

The idea behind our Reunion Potluck comes from the cherished tradition of Reunion Dinner, a family get-together to welcome the arrival of spring through delicious food! Similarly, at Draig FEAST we warmly welcome our queer siblings and allies to this cozy get-together, and celebrate Lunar New Year in each other's company, whilst enjoying great food!

-

Before the festivities begin, we'd like to share a few important reminders for our attendees to keep in mind while joining our Lunar New Year Reunion Potluck.Ā

Food
  • Feel free to bring any dish you'd like and enjoy as much as you'd need. In the spirit of celebrating East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) culture, we encourage bringing dishes that complement the theme, adding to the festive atmosphere.
  • Label all your food with the ingredients, especially allergens. (We will provide post-it notes and pens)
  • To raise awareness on ESEA food, we encourage using #ESEAEats on social media posts.Ā

Cutleries
BRING YOUR OWN CUTLERY, MUG AND PLATE. Also feel free to bring tupperware to take leftover food home; we actively encourage taking leftovers home instead of throwing it away.

Outfit
We encourage our Draig FEAST attendees to wear red or yellow, as itā€™s our festive colour!

Wellbeing Needs
For any wellbeing and accessibility needs, reach out to our Wellbeing and Accessibility Officer - Jae Hee, who will be there at the time of the event. (Here's more info on Wellbeing and Accessibility)

Covid Test
PLEASE DO A COVID-19 TEST BEFORE COMING. Tests will be provided at the event if you can't afford one. We ask everyone to stay at home if you are feeling unwell to prevent the spread of infection. Be mindful of people's need for space and ask for consent before hugging or shaking hands.Ā

Safer Space
This is a social event all about meeting people, both loved ones and new faces. Please be respectful towards each other; discrimination, abuse, and harassment will not be tolerated and anyone displaying this behaviour may be asked to leave to protect everyone.

If you have any further questions, please email us at [email protected] or DM us on Instagram @yteuluteg

We canā€™t wait to see you at the Draig Feast!
