Since launching in mid-June 2020, the Text Food/Comida Team has steadily expanded our user base and partners who play an essential role in the system that distributes food to neighbors who don't have enough money to buy food. We now serve every corner of Sonoma County, and have a growing network of community partners, volunteers and service organizations helping to educate the community about our tool and increase its' usage. As of November 2020, almost 1,000 people have used Text Food/Comida, regularly engaging with our SMS-based system to find free food close to where they live.

To keep up with increasing usage, we are expanding our team to ensure we can continue to provide reliable customer support and grow the awareness, functionality and usability of the suite of SMS-tools we are building to foster increased community collaboration, coordination and care.
