The Real Work Begins

It may be that when we no longer know what to do we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go we have come to our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one th...

About

We provide faith-infused, student-centered learning experiences for elementary to high school learners, regardless of disability, so that they can experience success in this world and eternity.

In his 2009 book  Let the Journey Begin: God's Roadmap for New Beginnings, Max Lucado wrote:

"You weren't an accident. You weren't mass produced. You aren't an assembly-line product. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on the earth by the Master Craftsman."

Then why is Christian education modelled after the industrialized, cookie-cutter traditional education system of modern state institutions?

Too many young people with different minds, backgrounds, or abilities go through 12 or more years of schooling feeling that they do not belong, that they are not good enough, and that they can never make a mark on this world. They feel they are a mistake, instead of an intentional masterpiece from the hand of the Master Carpenter.

But at The Carpenter's Academy, each student is welcome in Christ's classroom, whether we learn differently, love differently, or live differently. We honor differences by transforming faith-infused curriculum into individual learning pathways that learners can travel at their own pace with the support of mentors and instructors. We provide access to transformative education by designing universally accessible spaces both online and in the classroom and by offering affordable tuition.

Our greatest desire is that every learner, as apprentices in the school of Christ, may be privileged to gain a knowledge of God and find power to be "a carpenter's son" through faith in His name.
