North Gaza Campaign

Translating Falasteen (Palestine), in collaboration with The Sameer Project, launched a fundraising campaign to support families in Gaza facing severe hardships. Our mission is to provide essential aid to those who need it most, especially families with specific and urgent needs. The aid is bought from existing products in the market and is NOT being brought in through any border.

Since the start of our work in mid June 2024, including the work on this campaign, we have achieved the following (last updated May 13th 2025):

11,519,750 of fresh and tested water provided for North Gaza 

2339 children and adults treated in 44 Free General Medical Treatment Days organized in North Gaza 

241 children treated in the 8 Dental Treatment Days

28  Days of the Mobile Barber Point, served 2864 people, mostly children

Around 45,500 USD given in cash aid

2705 packs of diapers and 879 tins of baby formula distributed in displacement schools, camps, and to select families in need.

+ other activities such as Eid campaigns, food packages, miscellaneous initiatives (all mentioned below)

860 kilos of firewood distributed to displaced families in need. (New initiative)

395 blankets and winter clothes given out to displacment camps. (New initiative)

220 schoolbags with stationary and toys given out to a school in North Gaza (New initiative)

260 shoes given out to displacement camps. (New initiative)

220 kgs of fruits given out to displacement school(s)

7 days of Mental Health Booster Days for Children - Around 1180 children served in 3 different schools / kindergartens (New initiative)

1488 packs of sanitary pads given out to displacement centers (New initiative)

70 attendees and receipients of first aid boxes in the Three 3-day First Aid Workshops (New Initiative)

20 attendees and receipients of self care packages in the First 3-day Personal Care and Disease Preventation Workshop (New Initiative)

52 attendees and receipients of baby milk in two Pregnancy Essential Care 3-day workshops

Our focus currently has been on the north of Gaza, due to the lack of humanitarian aid efforts there and the starvation that part of the Strip is going through.

Translating Falasteen (@translating_falasteen) is a platform dedicated to translating videos from Palestine on Instagram and TikTok. Our goal is to amplify the voices of Palestinians and share their stories with a global audience. Now, we want to take our commitment a step further by providing tangible support to the people in these stories, as well as thousands of others in need, through our collaboration with The Sameer Project.

Our aid efforts cover a wide range of necessities, including:

- Cash Aid: Direct financial support to help families manage daily expenses.

- Water Aid: Providing clean water through water trucks to areas with limited access.

- Medical Supplies: Supplying essential medications and medical devices.

- Food Aid: Delivering food packages to ensure no family goes hungry.

- Diapers and Baby Formula: Providing crucial supplies for both infants and adults with special needs.

- Other Services: Offering a variety of support based on individual family needs, such as mats, blankets, wheelchairs, and more.

Our dedicated team consists of four Palestinians (and other volunteers) in the diaspora, working in tandem with a ground team in Gaza to execute our operations efficiently. We meticulously assess each family's needs to ensure your generous contributions are used effectively and directly impact those in need.

Many families in Gaza fall through the cracks of larger aid initiatives. Their unique needs often go unnoticed and unmet. At The Sameer Project, we bridge this gap by providing personalized assistance that other organizations might overlook. Every dollar donated goes directly towards purchasing and distributing aid, ensuring that no family is left without the support they deserve.
