We hope you are all doing well!
We are so excited to announce that we are working on releasing a brand new website this Summer! We are currently in the planning and design stages, and would love your input. You can find further details below!
This week, we also have an excellent funding opportunity, as well as some free resources for budget management:
🪧SCN Website -> call for case studies, photos, and a short survey - as we are in the planning and design stage of this project, we want to get as much input from the SCN community as possible! Here are some of the ways you can get involved:
- Fill out this short survey - this survey should take between 5-15 minutes to complete, and has space to tell us about your group to be featured on the website
- Send us your photos and videos - we want to showcase all of the amazing groups in the SCN community on our website. Please send any photos/videos to [email protected]
Feel free to email us if you have any brilliant ideas or suggestions for the website as well!
🌺May Bank Holiday Payment Dates - please find below some advanced warning of the upcoming May bank holiday changed payment dates:
May bank holiday (w/c 29th May):
- Tuesday 30th May
- Friday 2nd June
🏹Funding Opportunities
- West Midlands, Mayor’s Community Weekend - grants of up to £2000 are available for groups in the West Midlands to celebrate the Mayor’s Community Weekend in September. The deadline is 7th June.
- Forever Manchester Awards 2023 - grants of up to £1000 are available for grassroots organisations in Manchester. The deadline is 26th May.
- Scurrah Wainwright Charity - grants of between £1000-5000 are available for groups based in Yorkshire and working in the field of social reform. The deadline is 14th September.
🔓SCN Tip of the Week - did you know you can invite someone to submit an expense? If there’s somebody in your community who is having trouble submitting an expense, you can help them out by inviting them to submit one.
To do this, go into “Submit Expense”. Then under the payee information, click “Invite New”. You can then fill in their basic details, and they’ll get an email with details on how to do the rest!
📜Incoming Funds and Missing Contributions - A reminder that we have set up an incoming contribution form where you can let us know if you will be receiving a large incoming contribution so we can allocate it to your page!
As well as that, you can also share this form with your contributors. Sometimes contributions are made with the incorrect reference number which means we are unable to allocate them to your page. If any of your contributors can’t see their contribution, send them this form so we can allocate it to you!
