Hey all!

Happy Thursday 🌄We hope you’ve had a great week so far!❄

A few updates to kickstart your day:

🗣Cost of Living Crisis Discord event - We recognise that the work that many of you do can come at an emotional cost. As part of our community building efforts, we will be on Discord TODAY at 4:30pm to provide a space to share, connect, and network with other groups. Don’t be shy - this will be on a text channel so you don't have to be on video! You can find out more by clicking this link.

🎈Oxford Mutual Aid is hiring! - One of our brilliant groups, Oxford Mutual Aid, is hiring for three positions starting in March. Two Directors of Operations and one Operations Coordinator. These roles present a brilliant opportunity to be part of a young, growing and driven organisation rooted in the principles of Mutual Aid and solidarity.

You can find out more about these exciting opportunities here! The deadline for applications is 3rd February 2023.

🍄European Climate Fund Event in London - ECF is hosting an exciting event next Wednesday 25th January at 6:30pm-8:30pm. The event is titled “Activism in the 21st Century: Should We All Be Criminals?”.

You can find out more and get tickets by clicking here. This event is free with a £5 deposit. If you go, we would love to hear about your main takeaways!

🫵Is your group responding to the cost-of-living crisis in any way? - We know that the cost of living crisis is affecting most (if not all) of us in many ways and we want to get a sense of if and how groups are responding. This will help us better support you (if possible, through grants).

We are looking for any and all examples of how your group is responding, or how your work has changed due to the crisis. Please share anything you are comfortable sharing by emailing [email protected]. This can be anything from photos, videos, or a brief

We are also going to set up some calls over the coming week, so please let us know if you would be interested in speaking with a member of the team.

We hope you all have a fantastic rest of the week, and we look forward to hearing from you! As always, if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Warm wishes,

The SCN Team
