🏹Funding Opportunity

Community Energy Projects (South West) - grants of up to £40 000 offered for Stage 1 (Feasibility) and up to £100 000 for Stage 2 (Full Business Planning). The next funding round will open on the 10th September until the 4th November 2024.
Funding to Tackle Loneliness & Isolation Among Blind & Partially Sighted People (UK) - They fund research that increases understanding of what it means to be blind or vision impaired in the UK today— for example, experiences of loneliness and isolation, employment, being a survivor or victim of domestic abuse.

York Disability Rights Forum - Meet York Disability Rights Forum, one of the 500+ groups fiscally hosted by The Social Change Nest.
Sewing for Justice - One of the groups we support via our fiscal hosting service is Grenfell Memorial Quilt, a community craftivism project who are sewing for justice for the 72 lives lost in the Grenfell tragedy. Take a look at their great work and donate!

⚡It’s hiring season!

Here are some of the jobs we’re hiring for at The Social Change Nest.

Programme and Community Development Lead We are looking for a community organiser with a strong project management background, or a project manager who has trained as a community organiser to help us grow a new project, The Help Desk, while overseeing our Open Collective service.

Senior Account Manager We are looking for an organised and proactive person who will lead the delivery team for our Grant Management portfolio and Process Hosting services. This involves ‘account management’, which means supporting groups as they scale, as well as oversight of the services.
