UST - Universal State Transcript
An open protocol for tamper-evident records of state: some data about the world, at a moment, signed by whoever observed it.
A ust: id is an address on one shared UTC axis - a registered IANA URI scheme (provisional, July 2026).
UST proves fixation, not truth: who committed to these exact bytes, when, unaltered - not that they are correct.
Trust is graduated and the verdict carries its tier: VALID:LIGHT, HIGH, TOP.
No token, no blockchain of our own.

What is already public and running
- Specification under CC BY 4.0, with a non-normative formal model.
Conformance vectors are the arbiter between implementations.
- Ten packages on npm, all Apache-2.0: the stateless reference base, a zero-dependency LIGHT floor, a stateful operator layer, a CLI, an MCP server for agents, a browser WebCrypto signer, and opt-in anchor verifiers for Bitcoin OpenTimestamps, Sigstore Rekor and RFC 6962.
- A web verifier that runs entirely in the browser, uploading nothing.
- Three measuring engines on one grid: https://noosphere.md, the planet's own state from 140+ open sources, sealed every 30 seconds and Bitcoin-anchored with a public anchor journal; helioradar.com, space weather and ephemerides normalised into one feed; muuune.com, the sky projected into 14 calendar systems and 13 languages.
Traction, stated plainly
The protocol repository has been public since April 2026 and is worked on daily.
Ten packages average a few hundred installs a week.
The ust: scheme is registered with IANA.
We are early, and we say so.
What funding is for
Running the public instruments: anchoring, storage and hosting of the always-free tier.
Independent security review of the reference implementation.
