The Moving Support Project started in 2020 and is still going strong, sourcing furniture and moving it to our formerly unhoused neighbors' new homes in New York City. On the second anniversary of the project, we are reflecting on our achievements by the numbers. In 2 years, we have completed 50 moves for 80 Movees. We have delivered 63 beds, courtesy of generous New Yorkers who've donated their gently used mattresses and bed frames. We think we've probably logged more than 10,000 steps carrying couches and dressers into elevators and walk ups. Thank you to our volunteers, who do the heavy lifting and keep those move truck wheels turning. Happy Housewarming to our neighbors in their new spaces, and here's to many more!
