Hello, i first want to say a big thank you to everybody from trans aid for helping me so far, as ive previously stated im working on my move to Bristol and i have some temp work lined up in Bristol in a month or so but due to me unfortunately still being where i am and not in Bristol, its been extremely difficult to even get a second job interview and this lack of income has severely affected me. Im at a place with myself now where i recognised that if i am struggling i can ask for help, i am currently struggling to even buy food and other essentials, and pay for my electric and water and also travel for the end of the month but mostly for bills and basics. Im working very hard to do this move and im even staying on a friends sofa so i can actually work without consistent proding and discrimination like down here in Devon. I understand i am asking for alot but genuinly any help from transaid will be more than appreciated and never forgotten and when I am more financially and home stable i will be making my own donations back as you all have helped me so much. It has taken alot of time to even get to this point in my move, and i struggle to find work also because of my lack of ID which my application had been denied on multiple occasions, and i genuinely cannot afford one, £30 of this money will be towards being able to finally have ID even though im 21...

We accept a variety of claims, from living expenses (e.g. food, bills, debt) to transition related costs (e.g. medications, transport to appointments, counselling). We provide three types of grants:
- General Assistance Grants: For day to day support to people in our community. These are currently capped at £60 per person per month.
- Emergency Grants: For financial emergencies such as large unexpected bills, housing costs or unemployment and more. There is no maximum cap for this category. We may not always be able to pay out the full amount requested, but we do aim to ensure that no member of our community is left in a financial emergency.
- Fundraiser Grants: We can provide one-off donations to fundraisers for up to £50.

How are expenses approved?
Collective admins are notified when an expense is submitted, and they can approve or reject it.
Is my private data made public?
No. Only the expense amount and description are public. Attachments, payment info, emails and addresses are only visible to you and the admins.
When will I get paid?
Payments are processed by the Collective's Fiscal Host, the organization that hold funds on their behalf. Many Fiscal Hosts pay expenses weekly, but each one is different.
Why do you need my legal name?
The display name is public and the legal name is private, appearing on receipts, invoices, and other official documentation used for tax and accounting purposes.
