Hi folks,
I have been incredibly grateful for all of the support you have given me other the past months with helping to pay for my counselling costs. I am currently about £3,500 into my overdraft, and have had to borrow money from my boyfriend in order to avoid unarranged overdraft fees. I am estranged and will not be able to receive any of my University support bursary until late October. I am very nervous about maxxing out all of my avaialble overdrafts and would appreciate any amount of money that could help with my rent payment for next month. I am starting a new job with the University in October and hope to improve my financial situation from thereon but currently feel like I am drowning in my overdrafts. I have not been able to work this summer as much as I'd hoped because of deferred University work due to a very difficult start of the year when I received some family news related to my past estrangement.
Additionally, CPS have not returned our deposit yet as we had hoped and I am anxious it may be a long time before we get it. I am starting a new job with the University in October and hope to improve my financial situation from thereon but currently feel like I am drowning in my overdrafts

We accept claims for the cost of medications, food, transport to appointments, counselling and anything related to your transition. We also support trans, nonbinary, and intersex (TIN) folk with bills and living expenses. We do not currently accept claims for money for pet expenses.
If you are applying for the first time, please provide the first half of your postcode and a link to one of your social media accounts in the "additional invoice information" box. This is to verify your identity and prevent scammers from taking money from trans people.
Please also let us know how much you need (max. £60 per month) and what you need it for (eg. bills, food, debt etc etc) in the "additional invoice information" box.
We don't allow reoccurring grants set through open collective, we ask that you don't set your grant to reoccur automatically as it adds strain to our grant team and can create duplicate expenses.
