Grant needed for general living costs, to stay afloat, desperately needed.
My situation is still the same - I am still unemployed and sofa surfing. I am desperately in need of accessing a passport as mine has expired. I need it for more than housing, jobs and ID - I have been signposted to the free ID before and it’s surprising how unrecognised it is despite it being a legally recognised ID.
I have exhausted my budgeting loan, contacted the local council and even been to citizens advice. I believe I have tried everything I can. I’m just going to check again as the last update was in early March if you have opened up emergency grants at all? Sorry to keep badgering but I feel so stuck. Moreover because I can only access a passport by fast track because they make it impossibly difficult for people of dual heritage to access passports, let alone if the individual is no longer in contact with their family - which is basically a lot of the passport application. So I can’t even get a more ‘affordable’ passport.
I’m really desperate and feel utterly stuck and helpless.

How are expenses approved?
Collective admins are notified when an expense is submitted, and they can approve or reject it.
Is my private data made public?
No. Only the expense amount and description are public. Attachments, payment info, emails and addresses are only visible to you and the admins.
When will I get paid?
Payments are processed by the Collective's Fiscal Host, the organization that hold funds on their behalf. Many Fiscal Hosts pay expenses weekly, but each one is different.
Why do you need my legal name?
The display name is public and the legal name is private, appearing on receipts, invoices, and other official documentation used for tax and accounting purposes.
