About

About
Some of the most important work in the world has no name, no witness, and no record. The neighbor who drives someone to chemo. The friend who picks up at 2 a.m. Years spent caring for a parent. By every measure the wider world keeps, it never happened.

TruIndex is a public record of that work — witnessed, evidenced, and lasting. Not a currency. Not a score. Something that can be seen and trusted, but never spent, traded, ranked, or cashed in.

Care goes unseen for structural reasons, not from neglect. It's needed everywhere, so the systems that keep score treat it as free — and it lives between two people, so it can't be checked from the outside. Adding money on top has been shown, again and again, to damage the very thing it means to encourage. So TruIndex doesn't try to fix money. It builds a record outside it: a public statistic in the tradition of the Human Development Index — one that describes a community without ever ranking the people in it.

This is early, and still forming. We're a foundation being built to steward that record, and we'd rather be honest about what isn't settled yet than pretend it's finished.

What your support funds
Support here funds the organization and its work — building the first small pilot, the people who steward it, and the tools that keep the record honest. Every amount in and out sits on a public, transparent ledger, which fits a project whose whole premise is making the invisible visible.

What it never touches
Funding stays completely separate from the record itself. Money never flows to or from any individual's contribution. There is no reward, no payout, and nothing to redeem — by design, permanently. Supporting TruIndex helps the foundation exist; it never buys a place in the record.

If any of this pulls at you, you're welcome here.
