2022 so far

We've really hit the ground running this year and have been BUSY!

With the permanent free store shelves, we're trying out some new things. On the top shelf will be food, and on the bottom shelf will be more specialty items (hygiene products, books, household items, pet supplies, etc.). These shelves are sustained by donations from the community and from organizations like Food is Free Solano.

The other component of our work is supplying and supporting the newly-formed Vallejo Mutual Aid Network (instagram.com/vallejomutualaid). We have a separate project tab set up here on our Open Collective page for donations to specifically go toward supporting that work. We go out as a group at least once a week to visit our unhoused neighbors, and we bring them a selection of items such as camping gear, food, water, books, and harm reduction supplies.

When we have a spare moment to catch up and process all of the physical donations we've received, we'll do another free yard "sale" too.

Busy, busy, busy!
