Urgent Message: New Donation Process! Please Read!
Published on April 3, 2024 by Karen Dickerson
Dear valued supporters of Ward 5 Mutual Aid,
We are grateful for your continuous support in helping us serve the community during these difficult times. As we navigate challenges, your unwavering support has been the beacon guiding our efforts to serve our community.
As of March 15, 2024, due to the pending dissolution of the Open Collective Foundation, we have been unable to accept donations through their platform. However, we are excited to share that Ward 5 Mutual Aid (W5MA) has partnered with The Hack Foundation, which operates as Hack Club Bank, to serve as our new fiscal sponsor. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your donations will remain tax-deductible.
This partnership with Hack Club Bank represents a significant milestone for W5MA, ensuring the sustainability and growth of our community initiatives. Here's why this change matters:
- Seamless Donations: Transitioning to Hack Club Bank streamlines the donation process, making it easier and more efficient for you to support our cause.
- Transparency and Trust: Our new fiscal sponsor prioritizes transparency, providing assurance that your contributions directly benefit those in need.
- Amplified Impact: With the support of Hack Club Bank, we have the opportunity to reach a larger number of community members through their advanced platform.
Your continued support is vital to our mission. By setting up your recurring donation through our dedicated HCB/Donations/Ward-5-Mutual-Aid link today, you play a key role in sustaining and expanding our community programs, including providing essential groceries, supplies, and emergency aid.
We understand that change can be overwhelming, but we are optimistic about the potential of this new partnership. Thank you for your unwavering generosity and commitment to our community.
Should you have any questions or require assistance with the new donation process, please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected].
We sincerely appreciate your support during this crucial transition period. Together with Hack Club Bank, we are excited to continue serving our community and making an even greater impact.
With heartfelt thanks,
Ward 5 Mutual Aid
