Gratitude for 2023
Published on December 27, 2023 by Ellen Y Kuwana
We Got This Seattle continues to get Mighty-O donuts to teachers and staff at schools all over Seattle, as well as other sites (staff at veterinary clinics, hospitals, daycares, low-income housing) each week. This weekly donation (2 days a week, typically) totals more than 10,000 donuts delivered each year to essential workers!
Additionally, donated flowers from LaVassar Florist are made into beautiful arrangements with greenery cut from Ellen's yard. The bouquets, made by Ellen's mom, brighten the hallways and rooms at Ida Culver Broadview senior living facilities, as well as a few other sites from time to time. This donation is valued at more than $13,000 a year in flowers alone.
HELP NEEDED FOR STORAGE UNIT COST (2023)
Ellen has boxes of compostable plates and utensils, as well as some bottled water in a storage facility; she plans to donate these items to a needy site in the first quarter of 2024. Unfortunately, the elevator has been broken at this facility for more than 6 months and she can't get the stuff down the flights of stairs. She'll make arrangements to get helpers to move the boxes so she can get rid of this storage cost soon. If you can donate something toward this expense, she'd like to get reimbursed for this cost for the past 9 months (~$1,000).
If you have a place you'd like to see these supplies be donated to, please contact her at [email protected]
Thank you for your continued support!
All donations are tax-deductible!
