Big WTMG update! ⛺
Published on January 16, 2023 by Manon Brulard
Hello there!
How are you? We hope your 2023 has gotten off to a good start. Ours certainly has! We’re writing to you because you are one of Welcome To My Garden’s first supporters, and we have big news to share!
🌱 How it started
Back in 2020, Welcome To My Garden started as a small citizen initiative to enable slow travel during the lockdown. Thanks to your financial contribution and enthusiasm, we were able to grow WTMG into the vibrant community it has become today. Thousands of people are now using WTMG to slow travel and host people!
🙏 Thanks for having our back!
We soon realized that WTMG was quickly growing into something bigger. That’s why we thought long and hard about how we could make WTMG financially stable and future-proof. As an early backer, you have proven to us that there are many people out there who are happy to support us! Thank you so much for having our back.
💚 New: Superfans!
Your support gave us the confidence to continue developing WTMG, and put an extra layer on the WTMG cake: it is now possible to become a Superfan! Thanks to the financial support of Superfans, we can survive as well as thrive. In return, Superfans get access to three amazing new features: as a Superfan, you can see the rail network on the map, upload your gpx files, and save gardens on the map.
Becoming a Superfan is entirely optional. We want to make slow travel more accessible for everyone, and that’s why it’s important to us that the free version is always there. But thanks to our Superfans, we can secure the future of WTMG, and continue developing it.

You can learn more about what it means to become a Superfan here. We hope that 2023 will bring you many more slow travel adventures and encounters! Thanks again for your support and for believing in us - we couldn’t have done this without you!
