Welcome to the Wisbech Crisis Fund. We are here to help with the cost of living by providing small cash grants to anyone who needs a bit of extra money to get through a crisis. If you are struggling financially and an appliance in your home has broken, or if you can’t afford transport to visit an unwell family member, or if you have had an unexpected expense that means you are going to struggle to pay your bills, please apply.
Grants
We operate according to principles of mutual aid: a community showing solidarity to others. We give no-strings-attached grants of up to £100 to those in crisis. We don't ask applicants to prove their need. Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis.
You must be located in Wisbech to apply. PE13 2 and PE13 3 only. We require proof of address with each application: a full, uncropped photograph of a recent document or letter with your name and address. Please attach this in the "Upload documentation" section of the application. Click here to request a grant.
If there is not enough money in the fund to meet your request, it will be rejected. This is so that everyone can access the fund fairly without waiting in a weeks-long queue. If you still need help when money becomes available, please reapply.
Approved grants will be paid on Tuesdays and Fridays only, except on bank holiday weeks. We are not responsible for operating payments and we cannot fast-track payments.

Donations
The fund relies on donations of unconditional solidarity from people like you. Donations go directly to people who need financial support within our town. We will post regular updates on social media so you know your donation is being spent. All funds are held safely by our fiscal sponsor The Social Change Nest CIC. The Wisbech Crisis Fund is a non-profit run entirely by volunteers, and has no other expenses. Click here to donate.
