Working Class Fantastic Spaces: Wish we were here - Kickstarter and Fundraiser coming soon
Published on July 22, 2024 by lisa mckenzie
We are off again with our recent and ongoing project - Working Class Fantastic Spaces - after we put a call out we have had many stories, some photos and we have been out and talked to people about their working class fantastic spaces - we have had of memories fishing in a local river, pubs with fairy lights, mining communities where generations of families live, working men's clubs, and being a teenager on the park - instead of putting these stories together in a book we are going to create a string of postcards - wish we were here. I am going to raise the money from another kickstarter campaign - I would rather not do these projects if I had to rely on the good will and free labour of working class writers and artists who are already struggling to make ends meet - and would happily want to work on the project for free because they believe in it - thats where we can all recognise the talent, the lens and the storytelling of a collective organisation of working class people - please look out for our new kickstarter you will be able help us produce our postcards and be the first to get a set 'Wish we were here'
