Associate Membership (annual)

Please read and join if you are willing to adhere to the spirit of this Charter:

Charter V1.2

Project overall objective:
To create a common platform for all Public “environment-related workshop associations and
other awareness tools” (henceforth referred to as ‘entities’) in the UK. (note: this does not
necessarily mean a legal structure)

This platform will help each “entity” gain traction from the others and reach a wider audience.
The ultimate goal is to increase bookings on all Public workshops and to grow the
community of facilitators for each of the entities.

This will be a not-for-profit collective, with any surplus funds being used to develop and
promote the member entities.

Primary objectives:
- Raise awareness of all entities in one easy-access place
- Get participants in the workshops
- Provide a calendar of all available public workshops
- To engage more people in the “cause” and ultimately get more people trained as
facilitators
- Create an environment of true collaboration between official entity coordinators
- Provide a platform where potential participants can find specific information on topics
relating to sustainability
- To promote the other workshops/entities whenever new participants join a workshop (in
follow-up email and/or by mentioning during the workshop)
- To re-invest any surplus funds into promoting and developing the workshops and their
entities

Secondary objectives:
- Have the ability to accept payment for tickets
- To get funds for materials and other approved expenses
- To pay for venue hire
- To pay for advertising of workshops
-  To apply for grants and reimburse facilitators for any costs (paper, material,... transport)
- Organise, promote and fund multi-workshops events
- Help “new entities” start and grow in the UK by becoming “associate member” of the
group

Responsibilities of the Founding Members:
- Monitor on a 2 week rota the gmail account and calendar. To update any new workshops
that are scheduled on the calendar and pass on any incoming request to the relevant
entity representative within 24 hours
- For any commercial opportunities that arise through this platform, to follow the ‘pro
process’ for each of our Associations, by forwarding the request to the official coordinator
for the relevant entity.
- If these rules are not adhered to, the person in question will be suspended from the
group for 3 months, for the first occurrence and permanently for future offences!
- Show commitment to the project by payment of a £10 donation as a founding member of
the organisation, to be used as seed funding for the organisation setup

To work for good of the community, not for personal/business profit

Target group of the platform:
People in the UK who are not yet engaged in the topic of planetary issues who are willing to
learn more about it.
Facilitators and participants of other related workshops.
Alignment with the different entities’ mothership:
This platform is created by the UK “official coordinators” for each entity.

The owners of the licenses, names etc (Motherships) should be made aware of its existence
and should have given their approval.

Winding up of the organisation
In the event of members agreeing to wind-up the organisation (by a simple majority vote),
any remaining funds to be donated in equal parts to the UK entity for each workshop or, in
the event of no UK entity existing, to the Mothership organisation or to a nominated
environmental charity.
