Wye Farmers

Wye Farmers is united around a commitment to change, innovation and to resilient livelihoods rooted in an adaptive local food system that supports nature-led farming approaches and contributes to the restoration of the River Wye Catchment.

We work collaboratively, restoring a local, adaptive, human scale Agroecological food and farming system, that is building resilience in our soils and restoring life in our river. We encourage the sharing of knowledge and skills and engage each other and the next generation in educational activities and opportunities across our farms. 

We celebrate diversity and circularity in our fields, in our communities and on our plates.

Our core focus is delivering practical action on the ground, establishing  pathways for learning opportunities on and between our farms in the process of restoring our river and establishing a local, short, adaptive, human scale and relational food system. 

Our farmers believe that for this emergent food system to support long term landscape restoration, our actions must be grounded in values of reciprocity, solidarity, respect and collaboration.
