Welcome, dear!

A Software Engineer, Open-Source Contributor

“Don’t just call me a software engineer—think of me as a problem solver with a touch of magic!”

🖤 A little about me…

Hello! I’m Zoey de Souza Pessanha (she/they), a Brazilian software engineer and open-source enthusiast with a passion for functional programming and the Elixir ecosystem. My work is more than just code; it’s about creating meaningful, scalable solutions that bridge the technical with the human.

I’m currently contributing to Supabase’s Elixir SDK, crafting tools that empower developers everywhere. I live and code by a philosophy of precision, creativity, and social impact—whether it’s through my projects in backend architecture or my contributions to tech communities.

🖤 What I love working on…

 • quizze: An AI-powered quiz platform with gamification features and real-time rankings.
 • peri: A schema validation library for Elixir inspired by Clojure, enabling more declarative data handling.
 • exlings: A CLI-based learning tool for Elixir, making functional programming accessible.
 • supabase-ex: A toolkit for Supabase, integrating storage, authentication, and data management.

For the full list of my projects, explore my GitHub Repositories at github.com/zoedsoupe.

Outside of code, I’m a proud travesty with a love for gothic metal, emo, and electronic music. I find inspiration in my cooking adventures and my ongoing travels across Brazil’s diverse landscapes (with hopes to explore beyond!).
