The only other time was the cause of collecting 60k EUR donations for Child (1.5 years old) Cancer Treatment that has been successfully accomplished in Spring 2008 within approximately 2.5 months timespan.
But this time is different... every day counts... every Day of War causes death, destruction and insurmountable suffering. Google "bucha" or search #bucha #massacre on social media.
Campaign Background:
Air Defense Division on Eastern Front of Ukraine need basic equipment to effectively recognize, communicate and shot down incoming objects of the enemy. There are twelve divisions and the request is to get at least 3x devices of Night Vision, 3x binoculars and 3x Radios per division which makes 36x of each. We don't know if we will be able to fund and deliver all of it but we will do our best to fund and buy at least part of it.

How the campaign organizer is related to the above. The request came personally from childhood friend who is former military officer in reserve and got contacted by his mil. colleagues from the described divisions. You would think they would have this basic equipment but apparently they don't.
Our approach is to work through request from the easy-to-get and more affordable to high priced items and deliver those in separate shipments asap. We do our best to try to hit right price/quality balance. All contributions, spending, invoices updates will be transparently shared on this platform.

INFO: Night Vision devices the most expensive and hard to get equipment. The exact model and device yet to be defined but we are looking at 3000 EUR/unit. It is very expensive and we are looking to buy those last and we don't know if we will be able to. Maximal planned spending 36000 EUR (12x3000 = 36000 EUR).

INFO/PLAN: Manufacturer either Baofeng or Midland. Pricing up to 75 EUR/unit. Pricing and supplier being negotiated. Maximal planned spending 3000 EUR (36x75=2700 EUR + 300 EUR buffer for shipping etc).

02 April 2022: 36x Retevis RT28 radios purchased. Equipment cost 18x 2-Pack Retevis RT28 a 127 PLN = 2286 PLN (~500 EUR). Radios are enroute with a multi-stop delivery chain. Total shipping cost to final destination in Ukraine are unknown yet. Once shipping safely arrives at final destination I will publish all invoices and pictures taken on the way.
