Fashion Fest is a community event held annually in the SF Bay Area, free to the public that is composed of sustainable fashion workshops, speakers, sustainable design competition showcase and design spotlights as well as tabling from other community action organizations or groups that support our mission. This project is intended to educate our community about sustainability in fashion and labor rights, with an ultimate goal of reforming our communities relationship with clothes to be more circular and sustainable. This project is also intended to teach our community that sustainability can be driven in many places through different kinds of sustainability in the fashion industry to sustainability tabling done by other groups. Serving everyone in our community, by targeting harmful textiles that can cause health problems we are exposed to daily, this event directly serves the people and our community as well as our planet by driving a more sustainable future. Fashion Fest reached over 150 people in the past and had over 50 design submissions and with help from a much larger team this year and connection so more sustainability groups we intend to reach over 250 people across design submissions and event attendees.  Fashion Fest 2026 is intended to be held in late October or early November to target the flood of consumption during Black Friday season. We intend to have a venue and confirmed dates by August when we will launch applications for tabling, speaking and workshopping as well as begin accepting submissions for our Sustainable Design Competition. Throughout August and September we will be coordinating lost and found swaps with local schools and advertising this event in doing so. Outreach to press, newsletter subscribers and other organizations will peak in September and early October where we'll finalize our tables, speakers and workshop schedule. In early November we'll hold our event!

Expense policies
Please make sure you type your full name and not just an initial. For example ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘J Smith’.
How does it work?
  • You print stickers, flyers, posters, leaflets, banners, pin badges at any printshop in the UK
  • You take a picture of the receipt or you ask the vendor to directly file the invoice to the AllForClimate-UK collective
  • You share on social media (twitter, facebook, instagram) a picture of the printed material with the hashtag #allforclimate from the social media account of your group (it has to have at least 50 followers or likes)
  • You add as a comment to your expense a link to that social media post and also a link to the original file that you printed so that other groups can easily adapt and copy it (better if you can provide the source file instead of the PDF so that people can more easily adapt it to their needs)

You will be reimbursed via your PayPal account (or the vendor will be paid via their bank account)

UPDATE: We are now also covering your monthly Zoom subscription if the free 40mn plan is not enough for you. Just share the social proof that you are holding at least one public zoom call per month as a comment to your expense to be eligible.

If you have other costs related to keep organising online. Please share them in this conversation.
