Otherwise here a brief update of the current developments at Alversjö:
Last weekend there has been again an Unconference which was this time solely about Alversjö. 20-25 people gathered to speak about current and new projects that they want to contribute to in the coming months. They talked about creative infrastructure, finances and leadership. Some used the frozen lake for iceskating, did circling and yoga, and walked in the forest. If you want to get dirty and use your hands and body for good please consider to join in one of the upcoming Work is Play weekends or even the Infrastructure Bootcamp begin of March. Creative infrastructure is entering its last phase as the project is set to be finalized by June 2025, and before that, we hope to complete the sewage system installation and finish the insulation and renovation inside the barn, in both the room called the pavilion, as the coming kitchen. Currently we need to decide where the electrical cables will be laid and where the windows will be and look like, and therefore we also need to know the interior in the room with lamps, tables, stage etc. Do you want to be a part of that process?
We have been moving the project further quite a bit each work weekend. It's fulfilling to see the changes as they happen, to both be a part of the work and fun taking place, learning new skills and having good talks, while creating useful spaces for the whole community to benefit from long-term. Each time some new faces show up and join in on the good vibes.
