Help Camden Anti Raids run a free community meal and know your rights training in Kilburn

We’re Camden Anti Raids, and we’re borrowing our Hackney siblings’ Open Collective (thanks comrades!) to fundraise for an upcoming event while we get our own platform set up.

Kilburn and nearby neighbourhoods are hotspots for raids in London. We’ve teamed up with abolitionist group No More Exclusions for a know your rights and bystander intervention training at NMEs space at Metroland studios NW6. We are fundraising to be able to supply a free community meal to attendees, and for other event costs (eg printing know your rights information in multiple languages). 

In the past we’ve been able to cover event and printing cost ourselves but over time as we have become more active this has become much less feasible.

We estimate we need to raise around £150-£200 for this event. As the event space doesn’t have cooking facilities we plan to buy food from local traders who we hope will also be attending. Should we raise anything over this amount it will be put towards other CAR running costs such as printing our materials and booking accessible event spaces.
