Love Ashby Litter Picking Heroes

 

Love Ashby Litter Picking Heroes is a voluntary and inclusive organization that campaigns against littering and encourages litter picking in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.  We aim to positively change attitudes towards littering and to encourage civic pride in our town for the benefit of our community. 

 

 To achieve our aims we will: 

 

·   Organize periodic voluntary litter picking events in designated areas around the town. 

 

·   Partner with other organizations within the community on joint litter picking and anti-litter awareness campaigns. 

 

·   Promote an ‘own your street’ campaign for volunteers to organize regular litter picking in and around the streets where they live, or at their local green space or park. 

 

·   Affiliate to the Keep Britain Tidy organization and promote and join their national Great British Clean Up events. 

 

·   Work with local youth organizations to actively engage with young people to encourage an anti-litter culture in the town.
