Welcome to Astamahstēk Counselling and Liberation! "Astamahstēk," meaning 'in the sunshine' in ininīmowin (swampy cree), reflects the gentle yet powerful embrace of the morning sun in spring—symbolizing warmth, renewal, and the strength to grow in community. Astamahstēk is a holistic, justice-oriented, and culturally-responsive practice grounded in land-based healing and a decolonized, indigenized worldview. We support individuals, groups, and communities across diverse intersections, including 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, disabled, and other underrepresented communities. We offer individual, relationship, and family counselling, and hormone readiness assessments rooted in reciprocity, respect, accessibility, and empowerment.
