About
The Community Response Kit is a collection of life-saving supplies that give a sufficiently trained lay rescuer the ability to save a life in the event of a medical emergency or life-threatening injury. The kit includes the following supplies:
- An AED:
- A functional AED device programmed with the latest available firmware to facilitate American Heart Association guidelines-compliant basic life support.
- A set of unexpired therapy pads.
- A charged and functional battery.
- A prep kit containing shears, a razor, latex-free gloves, a face shield, and gauze or cloth.
- Naloxone. 2 doses of at least 3mg pre-dosed and deliverable via intranasal route that doesn’t require a layperson to draw medication from a syringe.
- A bleeding control kit containing, at minimum:
- A tourniquet and permanent marker
- An elastic bandage
- Wound packing gauze with an integral radiolucent strip
- An emergency blanket
