Greetings from the Black Banjo Reclamation Project!
We have soooo many exciting updates for you all— we won’t even get to share everything today but please be on the lookout as there is much to come.
Our work is versatile and happens on a worldwide and national scale, down to the local scale. Much of our work has been based in the Bay Area and this month we have several events we want to inform and tell you about! All the following events are FREE of charge!
This Saturday April 8th: Community Music Making Circle at Canticle Farms! This event is open to black folks of the African diaspora from 5-7:30, dinner and fire pit jam is open to all!
Event details:
Oakland April 8th from 5 pm to 9 pm. Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged. Enter on the pathway between 1961 and 1969 Harrington Ave.
Event will be a community music making circle at canticle farms the community space, followed by a potluck dinner around the fire.
We love creating space for folks to gather, explore instruments, singing and music in a comfortable, non judge mental setting. We encourage folks to learn through exploration and experience so bring your sensory wisdom and continue your musical journey and with us.
