The recognition of the importance of technology as a thematic area in the Malaysian National Action Plan will require the awareness and active participation of the local tech sector.
To this end, TIOF is promoting the creation of a Tech Alliance in the Malaysian tech sector so that
The IO Foundation is committed to encourage and facilitate this implementation from a technical perspective to ensure the observance of the BHR Principles by design.

Summary of Activities
- Reach out to key actors in the Malaysian tech sector such as
- international and national established tech corporations
- tech startup ecosystem
- tech thematic groups
- Strategize with the Tech Alliance members to ensure their participation in the National Action Plan drafting and tabling process
Outcomes
- Bootstrap the Tech Alliance
- Organize events to inform and enhance their participation in the NAP process
- Provide training to the Tech Alliance members in topics such as
- Human Rights
- UN GPs on Business and Human Rights
- Update the Tech Alliance members
