Developing a reparations framework within family policing
Published on November 15, 2023 by Imani Worthy

The 12-month goal of the building a reparations framework  is to create an inclusive space for dialogue, education, and change, centered around the themes of reparations, family policing, and community empowerment. We aim to achieve this through the following key components:

Reparations Convening: A dynamic symposium that dedicates significant time to in-depth discussions and explorations of reparations, family policing, and community empowerment.

Reparations Report: The cornerstone of the Reparations Convening, serving as the most crucial outcome of this collective effort. The report will provide a detailed understanding of reparations, historical background, and community-driven recommendations.

Reparations Teach-In: An educational tool designed to inform and educate about the concept of reparations and its role in addressing systemic injustices, with a focus on online distribution for wide accessibility.

Community Talk Backs: Engaging the community and receiving feedback based on the Reparations Report's findings, which will inform policy recommendations and future initiatives.
