About
We are a collective of system impacted parents
Our mission is to empower and unite black and brown families to dismantle current punitive systems, end cycles of violence, and protect the integrity and sanctity of our families and communities while holding systems that are in place to harm us accountable
Vision
We envision communities that have all of the resources they need to thrive and grow. Community members deserve support, not punishment. We envision a safe community that is free from punitive harms, is granted reparations and investment in harm reduction tools. We envision an end to interpersonal and structural violence. Our communities are informed and grow from collective power, healing, and support.
Our Values:
We are rooted in Reproductive Justice-"The human right to keep one's own bodily independence, to have children or not, and to raise one's own children in communities that are both safe and sustainable." We focus on two areas: Child welfare and Domestic Violence.
We believe in building parent power. When selecting what is best for their families and communities, parents have the answers. We create a safe space that is trauma-informed and by highlighting the knowledge of parents, we increase parent power.
