About

CadQuery is an open source Python API used to create parametric CAD models and assemblies in many contexts, from hobbyist to professional. Since the models are created as code, they can be highly parametric and can be driven by equations. We have seen this more recently in the fusion energy research sector for neutronics simulations for reactor design. CadQuery has also been used to create products such as a line of Lego-compatible model train parts, as well as board games and fantasy terrain, including some generative items.

The CadQuery project is made up of a small team of core developers supported by an active community of researchers, makers, software developers and product designers.
