This collective is how the project is funded. Open Source Collective is its fiscal host: the money belongs to the project, and every contribution and expense is on this public ledger. It goes to maintenance, security, releases, documentation and the infrastructure behind them.
People: contribute any amount, once or monthly. No perks, by design.
Companies: sponsorship buys clearly labeled visibility, never influence. No amount of money changes the roadmap, places anything in the product, or gives access to users or their data. Sponsors never appear in evaluations, rankings or recommendations. We don't list products that apply to jobs in candidates' names or that compete with a founding sponsor's category.
