Carlisle COVID-19 Community Help Group

Requests for help are coming in. Many people in our community are in need of our help. Many are finding themselves alone where those who usually support them are self isolating; many are in the vulnerable category and can’t leave the house; some are suddenly out of work; many people are scared and anxious. Please help us ensure people are getting food and supplies by making a small donation - it just takes a couple of clicks and could make a huge difference. Money donated will be used exclusively for supporting people in our community who are in need of help at this time: to get supplies quickly when people have no access to cash or online banking; to make up basic food parcels for people struggling; emergency help for those who suddenly find themselves not able to pay for basic items. We are working within local and national guidance, and people are being referred to us by badly overstretched local services, as well as people having seen our details online, in the media and on our posters around the city. This group is administered by a small group of city and county councillors, professionals and activists in the community volunteering their time. 

All donations will be used directly to provide food and supplies for those in need at this time. Thank you in advance for taking the time to help. Everyone we speak to is extremely grateful for the help being offered. When we speak to people calling us for help, we can see isn’t only the supplies that matters to many people, it is knowing that there are others out there who care.
