For 7 years we have had the food pantry in our home.  2 years ago we started working along side Austin Mutual Aid. July 8, 2023 we partnered with Austin Mutual Aid and moved the food pantry out of my home  to Gus Garcia Rec Center a few blocks from my home. With 100+ degree days outside it is awesome to be in air conditioning.  We were blessed with 154 clients who came to pick up milk, meat, fresh vegetables, yogurt, fresh and cut fruit for their family.  The number of households included 533 people of which 198 are children.  67 were seniors.  11 of our clients were unhoused. 
In the last 6 months we have had 3707 people sign in at my home for food.  Total in households, 13914. Children in the households were 3046. Seniors were 1955.  Homeless outreach 1777. 
We expect the pantry numbers to go up with more exposure.
