year 2021
Published on January 24, 2022 by Carol Rabun

We have helped many people who have food insecurity during 2021.   We received food from Central Texas Food Bank, Randall's, HEB, Sprout's, Central Donut, Little Ola' Biscuit, Cooks Nook, Austin Restoration Ministries, St Vincent's de Paul and North Austin Muslim Community Center.  We have 29 volunteers who pick up and distribute the food and drop off the rest for me to pass out to 100 people or so who come to my house to get what they need.  I do this 7 days a week and many hours a day.

I work with several organizations to pass food out to homeless camps.  I have 2 homeless camps I work directly with.  We have homeless individuals who stop by to pick up supplies as they need them.

We are buying 2 older pickup trucks to help distribute food to people who can't come get it.

We take donations of food, clothing, kitchen supplies, bedding, blankets, coats, shoes. Anything to help homeless and newly housed individuals with their needs.

Next year we will do the same since the response to our service has been positive. We will continue to provide the service as long as we feel it's needed.
