The past 8 weeks have been quite a journey, but the search is finally over!
We are pleased to announce that we have made a new fiscal sponsorship agreement with HCB!

As you know from our last update, Open Collective Foundation has decided to dissolve effective at the end of this year. Due to their dissolution, we have been unable to accept financial donations since March 15, 2024. We are grateful for what OCF has provided to us since September 2021, allowing us to accept tax deductible donations and providing a 100% transparent budget. We will miss the Open Collective platform!   

We have spent the past two months researching and discussing how to best move forward. Thankfully, we have found a new fiscal sponsor to meet our collective's needs!

Our new fiscal sponsor is The Hack Club (HCB)! Hack club is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to teaching teens how to code - how cool is that!? Learn more about their philosophy and mission here. One of their programs is a fiscal sponsorship program, allowing groups like ours to continue  accepting tax deductible donations and have a 100% transparent budget!

We are working with OCF to transfer all of our current funds to our new fiscal sponsor. We will be able to begin accepting one-time and recurring donations again very soon! We hope that if you were a sustaining or one-time contributor before, you will choose to support us again with our new fiscal sponsor, HCB. Please stay tuned for more updates, coming soon!
