Saturday School

Saturday School is a project of the Claudia Jones School to present political education forums, workshops and panels to the Washington, DC and metropolitan area community. It’s particular aims are: (1) discussing societal problems with our working class from a Marxist-oriented perspective; (2) presenting new topics and concepts to community members who aren’t politically activated; (3) engage the community with different forms of political education through 

mass meetings, discussion groups, film screenings, art presentations, and more; and (4) activate the community into political campaigns and struggles around working class issues that affect DC residents; and (5) cultivate and promote among especially young citizens the spirit, significance and their necessary engagement in expanding democratic rights.
