With the resumption of hostilities on the 18th March, many of our families have begun receiving orders to evacuate their homes again. Some wish to stay put, exhausted by repeated displacements. Others want to leave but can't afford the high cost of transport and accommodation. Some families are displaced suddenly by violence and have to leave their belongings behind, needing urgent support to replace essential items.
Some basic costs:
Transportation for families and their belongings: up to $2000 (£1550)
New tents: $700-$1000 (£540-£775)
Families may need to replace things such as cooking equipment, mattresses, blankets, clothes and food once they have relocated.
