MARC funds are used to upgrade operations at GreenFeen OrganiX, a Black worker-owned composting cooperative in the Bronx, allowing the cooperative to better market finished compost. The project involves installing infrastructure that reduces processing time while increasing the quality of the finished compost. It also involves investing in compost certification, packaging and labor at the outset in order to launch sales of finished compost to a larger market. Collective Diaspora will administer the project as well as coordinate pro-bono graphic designers to design marketing materials for GreenFeen OrganiX.
